A puzzle contest for Schoolchildren was organised by Al Sharq and The Peninsula newspapers. Teams from 45 elementary and junior schools participated in the contest. In the elementary school category, Sherborne Qatar won the first place, followed by Mesaieed Elementary school for Girls while Al Huda Independent Elementary School for Girls was placed third. In the junior school category, the first place was won by Mozah bint Mohamed Preparatory Independent School for Girls. While the second prize went to Ruqaya Preparatory Independent School for Girls. Fatima Al Zahra Preparatory Independent School for Girls won the third place. In the elementary school category, 35 teams participated while 47 teams contested in the preparatory school category.
