Abu Dhabi Investment House, Abu Dhabi; Abu Dhabi Investment House (ADIH), the Investment Manager for Wellpharma Medical Solutions, announced recently the signing of an agreement with Bram Spa, the Italian based pharmaceutical group, to provide the technology and installation of equipments for the Intravenous Solutions (IV) production plant in Abu Dhabi.

Mr Saud Al Nusuf, Chief Investment Group Officer of ADIH signed the agreement on behalf of Wellpharma Medical Solutions and Dr Claudio Opl, a Senior Executive on behalf of Bram Spa.

Wellpharma Medical Solutions, an Intravenous Solutions manufacturing and distributing plant, will be located within Abu Dhabi’s Industrial district. The signed agreement establishes Bram Spa as a technological partner providing the know-how and technology to design, manufacture and supply medical equipments to the IV solutions plant.  Bram Spa brings with them 40 years of industry experience in engineering and exporting of pharmaceutical equipment and operation of production lines. 

The plant will be established on an area of 7,500 sqm with operations expected to commence in 2012 further to completion of the development phase.  

The establishment of Wellpharma Medical Solutions comes in line with Abu Dhabi’s diversification strategy within its public and private sectors. It is expected that the plant will assist with job creation as well as address growing regional demand for pharmaceutical products.

Expansion plans within the pharmaceutical industry are already being considered by ADIH under Wellpharma healthcare initiative with a focus on advanced diagnostic centers, medical labs and state-of-the art medical clinics.
