GRAND REGENCY HOTEL chefs reveal their skills at DIYAFA HOSPITALITY EXHIBITION Monday, 06 December 2010 19:19

Grand Regency Hotel participated in the Diyafa Hospitality exhibition which was held in Qatar for the fourth consecutive year, organized by International Fairs & Promotions. The event took place in the Doha Exhibition Centre and it succeeded in its aim to attract local and international industry exhibitors as well as participants.

Professionals and connoisseurs in the food art industry had the opportunity to compete and display their skill and experience in the culinary world. A panel of renowned chefs revealed the leaders of the contests.
A magnificent display of ice, fruit and vegetable carvings, artistic pastry and tabletop decoration featured during the event.

Grand Regency Hotel enrolled its very own culinary masters, who won different medals and certificates. A golden medal was awarded to Chef Richard Balandra for his performance at the ice carving competition. In addition, 2 silver medals were awarded to Chef Joe Marie Bersabal - Kitchen Artist, for her creativity in the cold kitchen presentation contest and Chef Aramawadu Ayasha Dihani in the wedding cake contest contest.

All of the 3 chefs have been a part of the Grand Regency Team since the opening of the hotel.
