Full speed ahead for UAE’s Dollar Rent A Car Thursday, 16 December 2010 20:02

Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Dollar Rent A Car, a franchisee of the Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group Inc. (NYSE: DTG) and one of the fastest growing car rental companies in the Middle East, has announced the opening of two car rental outlets in key locations in Sharjah and Dubai.
“We have identified a great deal of business potential in Sharjah, especially with the Arab population in the Emirate. The new outlet will accommodate the increasing number of local business start-ups, and will also serve Arab holiday makers who prefer to stay with their families in the Emirate,” said Marwan Al Mulla, General Manager, Dollar Rent A Car United Arab Emirates.
The new Sharjah outlet is located in the new Ramada Hotel Apartments located opposite Sahara Center. According to Al Mulla, this outlet should increase Dollar’s business in the UAE. “The demand for renting vehicles in Sharjah has increased during the past two years, so our goal for 2011 is to meet the demands of customers with our supreme service and top of the range 2011 model cars. Car rental will remain the preferred choice of travel for UAE tourists in 2011; we expect to see a surge in the influx of leisure travelers, with the level of business travelers remaining the same as in 2010.”
Dollar Rent A Car’s new outlet in Dubai is located in the Arenco building in Dubai Media City. “Our outlet in Dubai Media City caters to the strong, ever-increasing TMT (technology media telecom) industry in Dubai and has been thriving since its inception only a few weeks ago,” explained Al Mulla.
To support the operations, Dollar has also recently conducted training sessions on Selling Strategy and Customer Service to reinforce the company’s quality drive to its current and new staff members.
