BSFAA-QATAR INDUCTION OF OFFICERS 2011-2012 Tuesday, 20 September 2011 03:00

The Beta Sigma Fraternity Alumni Association of Qatar (BSFAAQ) is a non-profit non-stock Filipino Organization recognized by the Phil. Embassy based in Doha, Qatar. The BSFAAQ held its 2nd Induction of Officers for 2011-2012 at the POLO/OWWA grounds In Cooperation with the Philippine Embassy through the Office of the Labor Attaché.
BSFAA Chapter President Jorge Vitalicio (CSC-97B) formally opened the event which was highlighted with the holding a free Medical Check-up, blood pressure and blood sugar screening which was followed with Parlor Games for the amusement of the distressed OFWs at the Filipino Workers Resource Center. A simple Induction Ceremony for the Officers was held with Labor Attaché Arturo L. Sodusta, Jr. as the Inducting Officer. The evening was capped with a Dinner-Fellowship with the Staff of POLO, the distressed OFWs, and the Officers and Members of BSFAAQ.
The Beta Sigma Fraternity (Brotherhood of Scholars) is the first post war Fraternity established on July 14, 1946 at the University of the Philippines and has later on branched out in various universities across the country and with alumni chapters worldwide.
The members of the Sigma Beta Sorority who graciously assisted the Brothers during this event were Sis Betty Lim (MSU-IIT-98), and Sis Lorna Estero (BSU-MSAC).
Other Beta Sigma Fraternity Alumni Officers in Qatar are Vice – President Brod Roden Allan Cua (DLSU-CM 90B); Secretary Brod Jonathan Velicaria (PSU-02C); Treasurer Brod Raymond Chio (NDU-01B); Press Secretary Brod Leo Paul Martin (PUP-99A); Sgt. At Arms Brod Manuel Cruz (UPANG-00B); Public Relations Officer Brod Eddie Yeh (USC-77B); Auditor Brod Albert Resuena (DFCAMC-06A). The Council of Elders are Brod Arthur Hernal (UST-75D), Brod Zaldy Alino Sr. (AU-Cabanatuan 76C), Brod Manuel Manuel (UPSHL-77), & Brod Raul Lloren (UST-80A).
