Convert Engineering & Trading expanding product portfolio Wednesday, 04 May 2011 06:02

With huge demand caused by the many projects in the country, Convert Engineering and Trading is looking to expand its product portfolio. “We are booming and expanding and by the end of the year we are planning to have more varieties of materials. Our main objective is look for quality products with good price,” said Eng Islam Saddiq, General Manager.
Just one year after its establishment, Convert Engineering and Trading is opening a new showroom in Salwa Road, a good addition to their showroom in Al Forosia, Muaither, said Saddiq. “We are mainly agents for Italian companies working in the field of construction and building materials,” he explained.
Specifically, their product line includes timber door (Cocif), cabinets and pantries (Friul Intagli), wood flooring (laminate, semi-solid, wood decking), cast aluminium handrail and fence system, stainless handrail, vinyl flooring, carpet, indoor and outdoor rubber flooring, ceramic tiles and traffic and safety rubber products.
“We are an agent of Cocif dealing with high quality Italian doors at very competitive prices,” he said, adding Cocif has supplied some of the major projects in Qatar like Movenpick Tower, City Tower, Qatar Tower and some other commercial and residential buildings in Qatar.
“Our doors are certified and meet the requirements of green building. We use recycled wood for our doors.” Other unique products they have are hidden flyscreens and cast aluminium handrail made in Greece.
“Since the flyscreens are hidden, they don’t affect how the windows look. Cast aluminium on the other hand has no weldings so it is high quality.” Officials from Cocif, Friul Intagli and the Middle East branches are present in their stand.
