Khalifa Steel, one of the few authorized distributors of Qatar Steel, is all set for expansion as they start manufacturing cut & rend and welded wire mesh by the end of the year.

“By end of this year, Khalifa Steel will start manufacturing cut and rend, welded wire mesh. Our factory will be equipped with the most advanced machinery which will enable us to serve our clients with value added products conforming to all international standards,” said Sudhir V Attingal, Business Development Manager.

Established two years ago, the company has already established solid performance as the choice of well-reputed Qatari and international companies when it comes to construction building materials.

Their product portfolio includes deformed bars, re-bar in coils, galvanized tie wire, welded wire steel mesh, black annealed wire, marine plywood binding wire, epoxy coated mesh, gypsum board, plywood and Austrian wood.

“Very soon we will be the exclusive dealer of Boral, one of the biggest manufacturers of gypsum wood,” said Attingal. “Much of our success we owe to a very good sales team under the leadership of Saleem Al Khatib, sales manager,” he said.

With regard to the massive development going on in Qatar, he said it will not commit the same mistakes like what other countries have done. “Doha is giving projects slowly, despite huge development going on. People are very careful and I’m sure it will reach its targets,” he said. The peninsula
