Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani attended the second day’s celebrations held at Al Wajba Palace yesterday on the occasion of Qatar National Day. The Personal Representative of the Emir Sheikh Jassem bin Hamad Al Thani, a number of Their Excellencies, Sheikhs and ministers attended the function.

The Emir has received a cable of congratulations from the Speaker of the Advisory Council H E Mohamed bin Mubarak Al Kholaifi on the occasion of National Day. Al Kholaifi expressed on his part and on behalf of the advisory council members heartfelt and sincere congratulations and blessings on the occasion asking Allah the Almighty for many happy returns of such a dearest occasion and wishing the Emir best of health and happiness and more progress and welfare to the nation, under the wise and far-sighted leadership of the Emir.

The Heir Apparent H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani also attended the celebrations held yesterday on the occasion of National Day. The Heir Apparent also toured a number venues where Qatari tribes are holding folk dance (Ardha) as part of their celebrations marking the National Day. QNA
