The $2.5m Commercialbank Qatar Masters golf tournament tees off tomorrow Wednesday, 01 February 2012 02:24

Golf players practicing on the eve of the Pro-Am event of the Commercialbank Qatar Masters golf tournament at the Doha Golf Club (DGC) yesterday. Forty-one professionals and 123 amateur players will compete in the Pro-Am event. The $2.5m Commercialbank Qatar Masters golf tournament tees off tomorrow at DGC. Top golfers will compete on the 7,400 yards course include 2010 champion Robert Karlsson, former Major winner John Daly and the ever popular Miguel Angel Jimenez. The line-up also includes World Number 2 Lee Westwood, World Number 10 Jason Day, TPC Champion KJ Choi and a host of Major winners including Northern Ireland’s Graeme McDowell. Former Masters winner Fred Couples will make his debut at a ripe age of 52 in Doha. The event is organised by the Qatar Golf Association (QGA), the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) and title sponsor Commercial Bank of Qatar. Pics: Ebrahim KUTTY
