DOHA: Al Khor held Qatar Stars League (QSL) points leaders Al Sadd to a 1-1 draw here yesterday. The draw snapped Al Sadd’s four-match win streak in QSL that propelled them to the top of QSL points table.

Al Khor’s Mohammed Ibrahim scored the first goal in the 7th minute but Al Sadd hit back through Nadir Belhadj in the 22th minute for the equaliser.

In the second half, neither team managed to score in the tense game played at Al Khor Stadium. Al Sadd now have 30 points from 15 matches whereas Al Khor ha ve a tally of 21 from 15 games. Action in week 15 continues today.

In the second match Al Rayyan trounced Al Ahli 3-0.

Al Sadd, the Asian champions, are at the top of QSL points table with a tally of 29 points from 14 matches. The Jorge Fossati-coached side is one point ahead of Lekhwiya, the defending champions.The Peninsula
