Vodafone cuts WCC rates Sunday, 01 August 2010 03:39

DOHA: Vodafone yesterday announced another reduction in its international rates as part of the World Calling Club (WCC).

The new rates starting from August 4 fix call rate per minute to Asia and Egypt at QR0.69; to GCC, Middle East and North Africa at QR0.95; and to the rest of the world  at QR1.5.

In addition, Vodafone’s WCC is launching two promotions in August to help its customers stay even closer to home: ‘Super Sundays’ and ‘GCC Promotion’.

Super Sundays allow Vodafone customers to call anywhere in the world for QR0.55 a minute every Sunday in August. Customers can start calling their loved ones abroad on August 1 and continue to take advantage of Super Sundays on August 8, 15, 22 and 29.

The GCC Promotion allows calls to all GCC countries (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, UAE, Bahrain) for only QR0.69 a minute during the month of August.

“As we approach the holy month of Ramadan, we wanted to give our customers special calling rates to contact their loved ones during this special time,” said Grahame Maher, CEO of Vodafone Qatar.
