DOHA: Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) has lined-up a series of activities on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr targeting families and children at Doha Summer Fun Park.

The Organising Committee of the 2022 World Cup bid would join QTA to distribute gifts and prizes to children visiting the Fun Park.

The events to be hosted by QTA include a variety of traditional games and competitions, theatre shows, playing musical instruments and many fun-filled games. Families and children can celebrate Eid Al Fitr until late night. QTA will decorate the Exhibitions Center with festoons; and illuminate the whole area during the festival nights, QTA officials said here yesterday.

Qatar TV will broadcast their children’s Eid show from the main stage of the Doha Summer Fun Park, where children will have the opportunity to answer questions and win prizes.

The QTA volunteers would also make sure that the families and children are celebrating Eid at the Fun Park in a safe and secure environment. The volunteers would distribute hand bands to children that bear the name and contact numbers of their parents. The Civil Defense and Traffic Department will deploy a special team to provide all required safety in the Fun Park. The Fun Park is open to families and visitors from the GCC region. It welcomes visitors from 8pm to 2am during Ramadan. During Eid Al Fitr the gates will be open from 12 noon to 2am daily. The entry is free. The Fun Park will remain open until September 14.
