DOHA: Reach Out To Asia (ROTA) will offer two professional development workshops for teachers next month as part of its work with K-12 schools in Qatar.

This will allow teachers to fulfil most of the requirements in the National Professional Standards for Teachers and Leaders set by the Supreme Education Council.

Registration deadline for these workshops is March 6.

The two workshops aim to introduce iEARN and enable experienced teachers to implement iEARN projects into their classroom and collaborate online with members of the iEARN community.

iEARN, the International Education and Resource Network, a non-profit organisation made up of over 30,000 schools in more than 130 countries empowers teachers and youth to work together online using the Internet and other new communications technologies to connect classroom learning with real world issues.
