DOHA: Many Qataris were seeking to secure job stability and career development at the Qatar Career Fair yesterday.
The fair received many Qatari citizens who were presently employed and looking forward to utilise their capabilities and skills in more competent and efficient job opportunities.

yesterday spoke to a cross section of Qatari visitors on the second day of the 4th annual fair Qatar career Fair 2011. “I’m already working and looking for a better job, better salary and better position. I’m seeking a job in the administration and finance sector,” said Amshal Rashid.She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Qatar University and experience this year’s career fair better than the one held last year.
Fathima Ali another job seeker said: “I’m already working but I want a better job to suit my skills and experience in public relations.”
“I’m presently employed and looking for better job in the management field, Thuwim another Qatari visitor at the Qatar Career Fair 2011.
Hamad Ali Al Mai, an engineer by profession said, “I already have a job, I’m a Qatari working as a technical engineer. So now I’m looking for a better job with better salary. I have submitted four applications online.”
This year’s Qatar Career fair is held under the theme ‘Write the next chapter in the success of Qatar,’ jointly organised by the Emiri Diwan, Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), Qatar Petroleum, Qatar University and the Ministry of Labour. This five-day event will also hold a number of activities and events as well as a number of competitions, including the Career Photography Competition, and the Career Stories competition.
The fair also holds a number of introductory meetings for the exhibitors and the targeted audience to provide information about the Qatar Career Fair.
It also has many awareness centres aim to provide non-profit organisations with opportunities to communicate with society, and to acquaint people with the non-profit programmes through which they serve society.
These organisations include Stars of Science, Qatar Diabetes Association, Social Rehabilitation Centre Doha and the Quranic Garden.
