Qatar to take part in the Muslim Ummah Scholars meet

Doha: Qatar will take part in the Conference of the Muslim Ummah Scholars, due to kick off in Dakar today with participation of a number of Islamic affairs ministers and scholars from Arab and Islamic countries.

H E Dr Ghaith bin Mubarak Al Kuwari will head Qatar’s delegation to the conference.

The three-day conference aims at highlighting the status of scholars and their contributions to uniting the Muslim Ummah, addressing its major problems and countering attempts to disrupt its religious, intellectual, political and social stability.

The conference will seek to underline the need for devoting attention to authentic knowledge, learning from scholars, encouraging cooperation among scholars, and prompting the Muslim Ummah to draw lessons from its history. It is also aimed to underscore the importance of the international, Islamic, local and scientific institutes in leading the Ummah.
