DOHA: The first swimming pools and health clubs exhibitions (OPS 2012) will be held from October 7 to 9 at the Doha Exhibition Centre (DEC), organisers announced yesterday.
The three-day expo will showcase the most modern techniques and state-of-the-art equipment and machinery for swimming pools and health clubs. Walid Wahbah, Executive Director of Heights Organisers of Exhibitions and Conferences, said that they were extremely happy to sign the official sponsorship contract with Ritz-Carlton Hotel – Doha which is considered one of the most important five star hotels in Qatar and the region.
Participants in the exhibition can benefit from the official sponsorship contract with Ritz-Carlton Hotel enjoying facilities, restaurants and health club and using the Internet in the Business Center and transport to and from the hotel to the DEC, said Wahbah.
He added that the exhibition is expected to attract large participation from local and international companies who will present their products and specialised equipment for swimming pools and health clubs. In addition, the event will also showcase latest techniques in this field to thousands of visitors involved in the swimming pools and health clubs industry.
Participants from 20 countries across the Gulf region, Europe, America and Asia will present the most modern techniques in the field.
“Qatar by winning to host World Cup 2022 opens wide horizons for all as Qatar has become the centre of attention for the largest international companies in addition to providing opportunities for the private sector to keep up with large scale projects in the run-up to the World Cup,” said Wahba. He added these large scale projects will require major preparations which would provide huge chance for companies to build swimming pools, water treatment equipment, furniture, lighting, control and security systems and other accessories.
Moreover, the increase in average per capita income has led to a boon in resorts and health clubs making this investment field one of the most important ones which attracts many international and local companies, he said.
