DOHA: Qatar Cinema and Film Distribution Company is developing 11 multiplexes in Doha’s Suburb of Duhail. Among them two multiplexes will be exclusively for VIPs, company officials said at a press conference, yesterday.

Qatar Cinema and Pinpoint Trading and Contracting Company yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to open what they said would be Qatar’s first ‘Greencinplex’ in an upcoming Tawar’s Green Mall in Duhail.

The MoU was signed between Ali Al Ishaq, Managing Director, Qatar Cinema and Film Distribution Company and with his counterpart from Pinpoint Trading and Contracting, Saad Al Kuwari.

The mall will have three floors consisting of a host of facilities. The second floor will be called the ‘Entertainment Level’ which will be housing all the theatres.

The floor and the facilities will be jointly owned and managed by Qatar Cinema and Pinpoint Trading and Contracting.

Some of the important features and facilities will include: nine state-of-the-art theatres, two VIP theatres and a private lounge, access to online reservation, VIP membership, cinema, food plus valet parking (under VIP package), 4D children’s cinema electronic ticket, reservation on site, movie cafe lounge, digital media display, high-end interior design, finishes usher plus information services, various selection of fast food outlets, restaurants plus cafe lounge areas, indoor theme park and multi games activities, bowling alley and virtual computer games, educational theme park, fitness centre, health and beauty care salons, business centre and conference boutique hotel’s guest rooms, open green roof and lounge areas.

Construction on the project has begun and energy-conservation technologies are being deployed to reduce adverse impact on the ecosystem, society, communities, government and guarantee the future generation for healthy living. The Peninsula
