Loving the prophet Thursday, 04 August 2011 01:48
By Ramzi Al Saeed
Islam is a complete and comprehensive religion. That’s why the Almighty has become pleased with His servants by choosing a law and way for them. Allah has taught us that the religion before Allah is Islam. The good quality of this religion is that it invites us to obligations which will take us closer to Allah. Salah, fasting, zakah and Haj are part of obligations. We, in this blessed month of Ramadan go up to the high classes with our respect to Allah in executing the obligations and equipping ourselves with courtesy in all fields of our lives. Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, has prescribed the first goal of his mission is to complete the nobility of character, so Allah has given him strong characteristics, best features and good nobility which should be respected by every Muslim with their hearts and minds, as the rights of the prophet are bigger and more compulsory and more obligatory than the rights of leader on slaves and rights of parents on children because Allah has protected him from fire and also protected our souls, bodies, wealth and families and guided us through him and by obeying him we will enter heaven. So no blessing can be compared with this blessing and there is no grace equal to this grace.
The message of Islam is as old as the history of life. The prophet has made a big effort to spread this message and people have been invited to it based on rights and virtues and nobility. The message has helped to strengthen their virtues. There is no doubt that there are many rights upon us for the prophet which must be performed and achieved. It is necessary to listen to what we have been told and obey what we have been ordered and avoid what we have been ordered to avoid. We should pray Allah as per Shari’a and we should help and assist and protect our Prophet from every insult and outrage. The most important thing towards our Prophet, which is necessary for us, is that we should show our love for the Prophet through our faith, talks and acts and preference of Prophet’s love over our soul, son, father and all people. The love of prophet has been made mandatory and obligatory by Allah as disobedience leads to fire. We have been promised the heaven, so which rewards can take the place of this reward and which class can be equal to this class in highness, so it is obligatory for us to love and respect our Prophet in a way we can be successful, from here we understand that respect and love of Prophet is mandatory and obligatory.
Many verses in Qur’an have been revealed to express the respect of the Prophet and his place before Allah and especially the month of Ramadan is all pleasant and nice days for obedience and nearness of Allah as we fast in the day time and pray at night. So it is necessary for us to fill our hearts with the love of the Prophet and we should imitate him in every activities and we should ask Allah to be gathered in the heaven and make the Prophet intercessor on the day of judgment and also Allah has revealed the Qur’anic verses so that every Muslim may know the respect of the Prophet peace be upon. Respect and love of Prophet is necessary after his death as it was in his life, that is when we remember him and remember his talks and ways to be followed, it is also necessary to respect his family and his friends, then the love of prophet peace be upon him and his respect is considered from our deep heart and best part of faith, since hatred with Prophet is the worst sin and dangerous, as none of you can be a Momin (Muslim) until the Prophet is more loving one than your father, son and all people.
