Air transport talks with Germany Monday, 12 July 2010 01:07

Officials of the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority in Doha recently held a new round of talks with officials from the Federal Republic of Germany, on air transport rights with the aim of bolstering cooperation.
The Chairman and Managing Director of the authority, Abdul Aziz Mohammed Al Noaimi, said the talks took place in the light of a previous memorandum of understanding between the authority and Germany, aiming at cementing their mutual cooperation.
“This cooperation is based on deep agreement in all spheres between Germany and Qatar,” Al Noaimi said. “The two countries look forward to strengthening their cooperation, especially in the field of civil aviation,’’ he added.
He described Qatari-German relations as seeing the highest growth.
He said civil aviation was just one aspect of this cooperation that helped the State of Qatar achieve its national vision for the year 2030.
Al Noaimi noted that Qatar had an eye on consolidating its economic and political ties with all countries.
Leading the talks on the German side was Hartmut Spickemann, who is the deputy director general of the German Civil Aviation Authority.
