Come March and Motorbike enthusiasts in Qatar will have an opportunity to see some mean machines on Qatar roads. More than 500 riders will take to Doha roads as part of the Harley-Davidson Owners Group Mena Rally, to be hosted for the first time in Qatar.

Stretching from March 22 to 24, the prestigious event will see hundreds of Harley-Davidson enthusiasts flying to Qatar from all over the world to showcase some of the most mind-blowing Harley-Davidson bikes.

Many riders from Europe, US and Middle east will be shipping their bikes to Qatar for the event.

The annual H.O.G Mena Rally is a top fixture on the calendar of riding events internationally and is earmarked with very strong competition amongst the different countries in the region to win the hosting rights.

H.O.G. bikers will kick-off with a ride to the north stopping in Al Khor town to experience Qatar culture on March 23 and will put on a dazzling Custom Bike Show, at the Doha International Exhibition Centre in addition to organizing a series of exciting games for riders, passengers, families and kids.

Around 150 bikes will be on show at the custom bike show. No two bikes will be the same, said an organiser of the event.   The proceed from the event will be donated to a charity in the country.

On March 24, the bikers will have a long ride to historical Fort of Al Zubarra and head over to the Lusail International Circuit before carrying the official and highly-awaited grand parade on Doha Corniche where thousands will gather to get an up-close feel of the historical event.

The event will end with a finale which will commemorate the different H.O.G. Chapters with awards and prizes.

Ayman Al Abbasi, Chief Executive Officer of Nasser Bin Khaled and Sons Holding said: “We’re very happy to be part of this global event. By winning the rights to host the H.O.G. Rally, Qatar has now added another milestone to its track record as a hub for international events and will definitely attract the world’s eyes in March. As Harley-Davidson dealers, we feel privileged to be associated with a brand of this caliber and the H.O.G. Mena Rally will certainly offer unparalleled exposure for all organizations related to it.”

“Our success in the Mena region originates from the hard work our partners have put into helping people across Mena find a relevant lifestyle through the world’s best motorcycle experience. We are proud of what NBK, the H.O.G chapter in Doha, and the team at Harley-Davidson Doha are doing to provide a platform where the biggest group of friends in the world can meet and have fun together. I personally cannot wait to attend this event.” said Paul de Jongh, Country manager – Harley-Davidson Mena office

Abdel Kader Ghalaieeny, General Manager of Nasser Bin Khaled Powered Sports said: “Harley-Davidson has witnessed immense success in Qatar and has, with no doubt, established itself as the leading bikers’ brand owing to the unmatched equity behind its name. We have many Harley lovers in Qatar who will surely appreciate the significance of this event and will join hundreds of others who will fly from all over the world to participate.”

Harley-Davidson is an American motorcycle manufacturer founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1903.

Harley-Davidson established the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) in 1983 to build on the strong loyalty and fraternity of Harley-Davidson enthusiasts as a means to promote not just a consumer product, but a lifestyle.

In 1991, HOG went international, with the first official European HOG Rally in Cheltenham, England. Today more than one million members and more than 1400 chapters worldwide make HOG the largest factory-sponsored motorcycle organization in the world.

In 2008, HOG celebrated its 25th anniversary in conjunction with the Harley 105th in Milwaukee Wisconsin.

In Qatar, there has a long and close collaboration between the Harley-Davidson Doha, Qatar Chapter and local charities. H.O.G. Chapter Doha has helped in fundraising campaigns and brining awareness to the local charity causes through local rides and donations from H.O.G events and shows.
