Doha, Qatar: Qatar Auto Museum (QAM) has refreshed its A Sneak Peek at Qatar Auto Museum exhibition at the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ).
Running from February 2, 2026 to February 2, 2027, the updated display introduces a new selection of rare automotive masterpieces to the Mawater Gallery.
On display for the full duration of the exhibition are 1957 Ferrari 250 GT LWB Tour de France: A legendary racing machine featuring a timeless Pininfarina design, and 1965 Mercer Cobra (pictured) : A masterpiece of mid-century innovation and striking copper-accented styling.
Temporary “Rotating Spotlight” (changing every few months) is the 1970 Mercedes-Benz 600 SEL which is on loan from H H Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani. This prestigious emblem of luxury launches the exhibition’s rotation programme and will be available for a limited time before being replaced by another rare vehicle.
The Mawater Gallery at the National Museum of Qatar serves as a precursor to the permanent Qatar Auto Museum, offering a glimpse into the scale and ambition of the future institution, which will explore the evolution of the automobile and its impact on Qatari culture.
This year, Qatar Museums is celebrating its 20th anniversary. This milestone year is marked by the Evolution Nation campaign honouring Qatar’s cultural journey, from the founding of the National Museum to the thriving ecosystem of institutions we proudly represent today.
