Qatar reviews efforts to host ‘Expo Doha 2023’

Doha: The State of Qatar has reviewed its efforts and what it has achieved in preparation for hosting Expo Doha 2023, during its participation in the annual conference of the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH), which was held remotely.

The Secretary General of the Expo in Qatar and head of the delegation of the State of Qatar to the meeting, Mohamad Al Khoury, answered the participants’ questions regarding the date of the site’s readiness to enable the participating countries to build their sections. 

He pointed out that the supreme organising committee of Expo Doha is currently working on reviewing the strategic plan and reformulating it to suit the current circumstances.

The Secretary-General of Expo Doha 2023 affirmed the State of Qatar’s keenness and excellence in hosting all international events, and its commitment to organising a successful international exhibition with the highest international specifications and standards. 

As well as taking all preventive measures to curb the spread of COVID-19, whether at the stage of site preparation or in the stage of hosting and operation, he added.

In turn, Dr. Fayqa Ashkanani, Adviser in the Office of H E the Minister of Municipality and Environment, made a visual presentation during the meeting showing the progress made by the State of Qatar in preparing to host the Expo.
