QFSW, Seashore Group ink MoU to support Dreama’s affiliates

Stemming from its interest to bolster up and enhance the capabilities of its affiliated centres, especially the Orphans Care Center Dreama, Qatar Foundation for Social Work (QFSW), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Seashore Group, with the aim of improving the status of the beneficiaries of Dreama and developing and integrating their role in society through a package of continued support.

Seashore Group will manage to scout and provide suitable job opportunities for Dreama’s beneficiaries to ensure a decent way of livelihood for them after attaining the threshold of age of majority. It will also train and professionally qualify the job candidates. Moreover, the company will undertake the application of programs and activities related to supporting the beneficiaries of the center.

The recently inked MoU between the two parties aims to reinforce the common interests between Qatar Foundation for Social Work and Seashore Group, represented in the latter’s commitment to provide Dreama’s affiliates with adequate housing, after they attain the age of 18 years, as well as the logistical and financial support for the rehabilitation programs addressed to the beneficiaries.

As for Qatar Foundation for Social Work’s part, it will work on designing and proposing rehabilitation programs for Dreama’s affiliates based on its institutional and social seasoned experience in supporting orphans groups, spreading a culture of social responsibility and integration for them, in order to achieve the common weal for both the affiliates and the community.

Commenting on this bilateral cooperation, CEO of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, Ahmed Al Kuwari said, “Building a cohesive society requires the consolidation of strenuous efforts coupled with institutional and rehabilitative expertise and many other factors. We always seek collaboration with diversified segments in Qatar, we are open to all options and joint action endeavors to achieve the interests of the Center’s affiliates. 

He said people of Dreama represent a social category that should be provided with all aspects of support after attaining the age of 18. “We should work to elevate and further their sense of security and safety, and that we always stand with them financially, socially, and by all means of support until they reach the stage of complete empowerment, integration into society and achieving independence,” said Al Kuwari.
