DOHA: The blood donation campaign being organised by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, will be launched next Sunday.
The drive is organised in cooperation with Blood Donation Center of the Hamad Medical Corporation and will last for five days from 8am in the until one in the afternoon.
The campaign targets five municipalities, Al Shamal on January 5, Al Khor & Al Dakhira, Um Salal, Al shahaniya and Al Wakra in the last day
January 9.
The Ministry of Municipality and Environment has invited its employees to participate in the blood donation campaign, to support the needs of the Blood Donation Center as a national and humanitarian duty.
The donor is required to have an integrated healthy meal and that his sleep hours should not be less than 6 hours before the donation.
He also must have a Qatari ID, or health card, or driving license, and must be between the age of 18-65 years, and the weight should not be less than 50 kilograms, and that he should not come from a country where malaria is present.
