Kinshasa: Health authorities in the Democratic Republic of Congo said that there was a noticeable decrease in the number of monkeypox cases recently.

They said that the weekly number of new cases declined from 2,000 a week at the outset of the outbreak, to the current pace of between 250 to 300 cases a week.
