Lebanon President lauds Qatar's support for Lebanese people

Beirut: President of Lebanon H E General Joseph Aoun met yesterday with Ambassador of Qatar to Lebanon H E Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.
At the outset of the meeting, the Ambassador conveyed the greetings of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the President of Lebanon, wishing His Excellency good health and happiness and the Lebanese people continued progress and prosperity.
For his part, the President of Lebanon entrusted the Ambassador to convey his greetings to H H the Amir, wishing His Highness good health and happiness, and the Qatari people further development and prosperity. The meeting discussed the current situation in Lebanon and the region, with an emphasis on continuing support for Lebanon’s stability and its institutions under these delicate circumstances.
During the meeting, the President of Lebanon praised the active role of Qatar and its constant support for the Lebanese people, affirming the depth of bilateral relations.
