Doha: Qatar Scientific Club (QSC) in coordination with Aspire Academy provided 100 units of the medical face protector to limit the spread of the virus infection.
It is intended for medical and security personnel and can be used in cases of epidemics because it is easy to use and constitutes an additional protection element for its users. It is light and reusable after sterilization,
Hussein Al Kubaisi, Director of the Youth Affairs Department at the Ministry of Culture and Sports confirmed that the initiative contributes to providing the required preventive support during this situation, stressing the ministry’s keenness to work with all its energy and through all its departments and in cooperation with all state institutions in order to overcome the current crisis.
Al Kubaisi expressed his happiness to work with the scientific club which does not spare an effort to cooperate with various agencies and institutions to provide the best services. This is evident through more than one initiative in which the center participates.
On this initiative, Engineer Rashid Al-Rahimi, Executive Director of the Qatari Scientific Club, said: We are proud of the scientific club that in coordination with the medical staff of Hamad Medical Corporation, we were able to design and manufacture this product that suits the user's need, as it was developed in several stages and became better than the product available on the market in terms of design, reuse and compliance with infection protection standards.
We provide it to several parties, including the Aspire Academy, which was keen to provide them to students in a safe environment, in order to reduce the possibility of students being exposed to infection during the testing period.
Al Rahimi also praised the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports in the various programs and activities carried out by the scientific club, stressing that it has a major role in supporting the manufacturing and development process during the projects carried out by the club for the first line of defense from the medical and security staff, and that of the principle of social responsibility especially in light of the circumstances the country is going through to combat the spread of infection.
For his part, Jassim Mohammed Al Jaber, Director of the Aspire Academy, thanked the Qatari Scientific Club for the effort being made in the manufacture of medical face protectors and said the Aspire Academy contacted the club in order to provide 100 of medical face protectors to the twelfth grade students and employees to help them to perform exams safely.
