New directors appointed for Ehsan and Aman centers

Doha: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Qatar Foundation for Social Work (QFSW), Ahmad bin Mohammed Al Kuwari has appointed two directors to run Ehsan and Aman centers.

Following the decision, the Director of Awareness and Community Communication Department at Empowering and Caring for the Elderly Center – Ehsan, Khalid Abdullah, has been appointed as Executive Director of the center alongside his existing duty.

Khalid Abdullah joined Ehsan in 2006. He worked as head of the pilot project of identity for the QFSW and its centers. He participated in several committees, conferences, and workshops on social sectors. Abdullah also contributed to the publication of Ehsan Magazine.

Meanwhile, the Director of Community Awareness Department of Social Protection and Rehabilitation Center – Aman, Abdul Aziz Al Ishaq, has been appointed as acting Executive Director of the center in addition to his existing duty.

Abdul Aziz Al Ishaq worked as Director of Public Relations Department and Media at Aman in 2013, then as Director of Awareness Department and chaired the Human Resources and investment Committees at the center.

Al Ishaq also worked as Director of the Public Relations Department and Media at Social Rehabilitation Center (Al Aween).

Qatar Foundation for Social Work was established in 2013 with a noble goal to contribute to the development of social and human resources in Qatar to build a community that enjoys self-confidence, positive bahaviour, and values.

The Foundation runs seven centers, Social Protection and Rehabilitation Center (Aman), Empowering and Caring for the Elderly Center (Ehsan), Social Development Center (Nama), Orphanage Care Center (Dreama), Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities (Shafallah), Best Buddies Initiative – Qatar, Family Consulting Center (Wifaq) and Al Noor Center.
