Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met yesterday with the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, H E Tor Wennesland, during his visit to the country.
During the meeting, they reviewed developments of the situations in Palestine and the mechanism for delivering aid to the Palestinian people. They also discussed how to develop joint efforts between the State of Qatar and the United Nations in this regard.
The Deputy PM reiterated Qatar’s firm stance on the just cause of Palestine and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, including exercising their religious rights and establishing their independent state on the 1967 borders with Al Quds as its capital.
Wennesland renewed his thanks to Qatar for its efforts that contributed to reaching the ceasefire agreement in Gaza Strip
