Doha, Qatar: Residents and visitors can look forward to a vibrant month of entertainment, sport and cultural activities as Qatar Calendar rolls out a diverse line-up of events throughout August, offering experiences for families, sports enthusiasts and art lovers across the country.
Families will continue to enjoy a range of summer camps designed to keep children engaged during the school holidays. Among the highlights is the Go Ninja Summer Camp at The Gate Mall, which runs until August 27, combining technology, creativity and adventure through interactive activities. The Hangout at Msheireb Galleria also remains open until August 15, providing a welcoming venue for families to relax, dine and spend quality time together. Dana Club Summer Camp 2026 and OliOli Children’s Museum Summer Camps are also continuing throughout the month, offering fitness, creative workshops and hands-on scientific discoveries for children of different age groups.
Shopping and entertainment continue to take centre stage with the Hala Summer Malls Activation programme running across shopping malls until the end of September, while the interactive Colorverse Experience at Katara South Parking continues through September 15. Visitors can also explore products from more than 20 countries during the Doha Shopping Season 2026 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center until August 5, alongside family-focused creative workshops during Summer Saturdays at Printemps Doha.
As the new academic year approaches, Qatar Calendar has also included activities aimed at helping families prepare for school. The Msheireb School Checklist 2026 – Aialna, taking place from August 20 to 29, combines educational workshops, interactive activities and rewards, while children can also enjoy the popular Paw Patrol Show by Nickelodeon at Mall of Qatar during the same period.
Sports remain a major feature of the August calendar, with several local and international competitions scheduled throughout the month. Fitness enthusiasts can participate in the Beat the Heat summer fitness series and the MOQ Fit Club, both encouraging residents to remain active indoors during the warmer months. Young athletes can also benefit from the PSG Academy Summer Camp, which offers professional football training at multiple venues across Doha until August 27.
The sporting calendar also includes the Qatar Sports For All Federation’s Ladies Track Challenge and Track Challenge on August 14 at Aspire Indoor Track. International competition returns to the capital with the FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U17 World Championship from August 19 to 29, while basketball fans can watch Qatar take on China in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Asian Qualifiers Second Round on August 27. The inaugural Run the Dome 2026 will conclude the month with competitive and recreational indoor races at Aspire Dome on August 28 and 29.
Culture and the arts also occupy a prominent place in the August programme. Qatar Museums continues to host the exhibition Countryside: A Place to Live, Not to Leave, while visitors can explore A Sneak Peek at the Qatar Auto Museum Project at the National Museum of Qatar.
