Qatar Mile sees new records; 43 contestants cross 300 km/h

Doha: The third round of Qatar Mile concluded at the Al Khor Airfield on Sunday.
A total of 121 contestants took part in the two-day event. Of those, 43 contestants managed to cross the 300 km/h, 24 of them in the motorcycle category.
The third round also saw three new records in the car category. Talib Ahmed Ali registered a speed of 335.32 Km/h. In the six cylinder modified category, Ali Kafoud reached a speed of 386.59 Km/h. The third record was in the eight cylinder category. Mohammed Al Kondary reached a speed of 301.6 Km/h.
The competition is organized by Qatar Racing Club.
The six cylinder category continued to see exciting competition. Mehana Al Nuaimi managed to win his third title in the category. However, this time he shared it with Sheikh Jassim Al-Thani, who both reached the same top speed of 250.55 Km/h. The third place went to Hamad Al Mansour.
In the six cylinder modified category, Ali Kafoud won the category with a new record. Sheikh Abdullah Al-Thani came second, with Ali Al badi ending in third place. Meanwhile in the six cylinder unlimited, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Thani finished in first place after reaching 353.77 Km/h. He pit Ali Kafoud to the top, who finished with a speed of 346.15 Km/h. The third place in this category went to Faisal Al Shouai. He reached a speed of 336.32 Km/h.
