As part of the second phase of the gradual lifting of COVID-19 restrictions in Qatar, Doha Festival City has expanded its reopening capacity to welcome back shoppers to their favourite shops and brands.

Visitors can now shop from fashion, home décor, electronics, accessories and beauty brands, with an extended capacity of up to 50 percent of the regular mall capacity, while still maintaining the preventive measures of social distancing in each store.

In addition, food enthusiasts can get their favourite dishes and refreshing drinks for takeaway and home delivery from the variety of restaurants, cafes and food stalls in the mall including Five Guys, Maison du Sushi and Eately.

Families can now enjoy their summer shopping experiences with children aged 12 years and above allowed inside the mall, while taking into consideration all the precautionary measures in place. Children are required to show their green code on the Etheraz app and must be accompanied by their parents.

They also always must wear masks while in the mall. Brands including Harvey Nichols, FNAC and Go Sports are now open and ready to welcome shoppers. In line with the preventative measures set out by the authorities, Doha Festival City has introduced stringent health and safety measures throughout the mall for its staff and visitors.

This includes a thorough mall disinfection treatment on a weekly basis. Robust cleaning and sanitization operations during mall trading hours, and all seating areas and lifts are constantly reviewed and sanitized every 30 to 45 minutes.

A total of 127 hand sanitizing stations have also been installed in the areas that have commonly touched surfaces such as entry and exit points, customer service desks, offices, inside of elevators and washrooms.

Smoking areas have also been moved far from the entrances to avoid contact between people not wearing masks and visitors coming in or out of the mall. At the entrance to the mall and all shops, visitors must show their green Ehteraz QR code, and should wear a face mask during their whole time in the mall.

Physical distancing stickers in common queuing areas, such as ATM machines, banks, telecommunication kiosks and branches and various retail shops has been installed to help shoppers keep physical distance.
