Doha, Qatar: QIIB has launched the ‘QIIB Programming Club’ in partnership with CamelCode Academy, reaffirming its strong commitment to social responsibility and investing in the next generation of talent.
The initiative was inaugurated by Dr. Abdulbasit Ahmed al-Shaibei, Chief Executive Officer of QIIB, during a launch ceremony attended by Dr. Abdulwahed Abdulhamid Zainel, Founding Partner of CamelCode Academy.
The programme will run throughout August at the Academic Bridge Program in Education City.
The club is designed for aspiring young minds aged 13 to 16 and will welcome participants across 10 dedicated groups for boys and girls.
Through a hands-on learning experience, students will explore the world of financial technology, gaining practical exposure to its technologies and applications.
The programme goes beyond teaching programming languages, giving participants the opportunity to develop projects that simulate real-world banking scenarios.
These include money transfer systems, Islamic finance management and installment calculators, as well as AI-powered investment advisors, return calculators and digital wallets.
The programme concludes with participants confidently presenting their final projects, empowering the next generation of innovators and reinforcing Qatar’s culture of creativity and innovation.
