Ministry of Commerce and Industry launches home delivery service

Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) launched the home delivery service of ration cards to citizens at homes through Qatar Post, making it possible to obtain a ration card without the need to visit the Department of Supply and Strategic Inventory at the Ministry.

The citizens who opt to benefit from this delivery service can pay the fees using the bank card, whether it is an ATM card or a credit card, through the electronic services program via the ministry’s website, when he chooses to request the delivery of the card through postal services. In case the card is not received by the beneficiary, it is returned to the competent department of the Ministry.

The request to deliver the ration card to citizens by mail is optional, as the card can be received from the concerned department in the ministry.

This initiative comes within the framework of the Ministry's efforts to develop services provided to citizens and facilitate procedures.

The Ministry allows citizens to pay the ration card issuance fees of QR 50, through the electronic ration services program via the Ministry's website, if applying for a new card, or requesting a replacement for a lost or damaged card.
