Qatar Fuel, Woqod, opened yesterday a new petrol station at Wholesale Market raising its network of various petrol stations to 80. The new petrol station will offer services to residents round-the-clock, and it includes Sidra convenience store, sale of LPG cylinders, in addition to sale of gasoline and diesel products for light vehicles.
Woqod CEO Eng. Saad Rashid Al Muhannadi said: Woqod aspires to expand its petrol station network in the country to meet the rising demand for petroleum products and achieve the goal of providing customers with access to best-in-class products and services at their convenience and comfort.”
Al Muhannadi said that Woqod has accelerated the process for the construction of new petrol stations to meet the fuel and energy needs of the country. “Woqod team would like to extend their gratitude to all concerned governmental and private entities that contributed to the completion of this project,” said Al Muhannadi.
The new petrol station is spread over an area of 5,700 square metres and has three lanes with 9 dispensers that will serve Wholesale Market and its neighbourhood.
Al Muhannadi added that Woqod is currently overseeing the implementation of 16 new petrol stations, some of these stations are expected to be operational during the current year, noting that there are nine stations in the bidding phase and 14 stations in the design phase.
Al Muhannadi said that as part of its strategic expansion plan, Woqod is targeting the achievement a total of 130 fuel stations by the end of 2020.
