Doha: H H Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, Personal Representative of H H the Amir, witnessed yesterday evening the crowning of the winners of Al Mazain championship, at the end of Qatar International Falcon and Hunting Festival (Marmi Festival), in Culture Village Foundation (Katara).

A number of Their Excellencies Sheikhs, Ministers, and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the State and guests of the festival attended the ceremony.

The President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, honoured the winners of Al Mazain championship. 

H H Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, Personal Representative of H H the Amir; H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC); and a number of Their Excellencies Sheikhs, Ministers, and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the State and guests during the ceremony.
 

The competition witnessed 71 birds competing in the ‘free monster’ category, where Sheikh Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Thani won the first place and a prize of QR700,000. Lusail team came second with a prize of QR500,000 followed by Saad Issa Saad Al Kaabi in the third place with a prize of QR 300,000.

In the ‘free category (hatchery)’, 16 contestants competed for the first positions, where Hamad Nasser Al Mohannadi won the first place and a prize of QR200,000, Sheikh Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Thani came second with a prize of QR150,000 followed by Toyota team in the third place with a prize of QR100,000.
