According to the announcement, the month-long programme is designed to foster creativity, learning and cultural exchange, with activities spanning art, heritage, design and community engagement.

The Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) will host a series of calligraphy-focused workshops alongside family-oriented sessions. Among the highlights is the Nasta’liq Intermediate course for children and youth, scheduled on May 2, 9, 16 and 23, introducing participants to the structure and elegance of the classical script. Women can also take part in the Ruq’ah Intermediate workshop from May 3 to 6, which focuses on developing practical writing skills through one of the most widely used Arabic scripts.

For younger audiences, the Planet Kids Club: Space session on May 19 combines storytelling and craft activities, encouraging children to explore sustainability through creative reuse.

Meanwhile, the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) continues its focus on heritage preservation through hands-on cultural programmes. The Al Naqda Embroidery workshop, running from May 3 to 5, introduces participants to traditional embroidery techniques using silver threads, highlighting the cultural significance of this craft.

As part of its 50th anniversary activities, NMoQ will also host the Architecture in the Old Palace Forum on May 10, bringing together experts to discuss the historical and architectural value of the Old Palace in a bilingual setting.

At Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, the programme emphasises artistic development and contemporary practice.
