Envoys of Austria, Peru and Bosnia participate in Plant Million Tree initiative

Ambassador of Peru to Qatar H E Jose Arsenio Benzaquen Perea; Ambassador of the Republic of Austria H E Karin FichtingerGrohe and Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina H E Haris Lukovac have participated in a tree plantation event. Held under ‘Plant Million Tree’ initiative of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, the event was organised by the Public Parks Department with the participation of the embassies of Peru, Austria and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Assistant to the Director of Public Parks Department and a number of officials from Public Park Section of Doha Municipality also attended the event. A number of local trees have been planted during the event. The initiative is part of State efforts to increase greeneries across the country to protect the environment for sustainability. Public Parks Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment called on government and private organisations, institutions and members of the community to make their contribution in the initiative by planting trees due to its importance for healthy life.
