Lekhwiya’s Search and Rescue Team has carried out a joint exercise with its counterpart from the Sultanate of Oman’s Public Authority for Civil Defense and Ambulance.

The exercised aimed to enhance joint cooperation between search and rescue teams during international crises, and to carry out the guidelines of the UN’s International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG).

The exercise also aimed to enhance bilateral ties and exchange expertise in the field.

The exercise included simulations of search and rescue operations that would enable the teams to obtain the necessary skills and experience required to provide the best service.

It comes as part of the cooperation with INSARAG, with the goal of saving lives and property in times of crises. INSARAG had recommended member states engage in joint exercises to develop the capabilities of their teams in facing international crises and disasters.
