Qatar Meteorology forecasts northwesterly winds from Thursday

Doha, Qatar: Fresh to strong northwesterly winds are expected to affect the country from tomorrow, May 7, 2026 until next week, according to Qatar Meteorology Department. 

It further added that wind speeds will vary from fresh to strong, accompanied by chances of blowing dust that may cause reduced horizontal visibility in some areas in the country over the weekend. 

QMD also stated that a marine warning will be in place during this period.
