The Arab League yesterday said that the only way to achieving peace and stability in the Middle East is through ending the Israeli occupation of all the Palestinian and Arab territories and implementing the two-state solution and the establishment of the Palestinian State on the 1976 borders with its capital in east Jerusalem.
This came in a statement issued yesterday by the Arab League, marking 50 years of Israel's occupation of the Arab and Palestinian territories on June 5, 1967.
The statement said that the actions taken by Israel (the occupying power) on the ground, and the remarks made by its officials affirm Israel's determination to destroy all opportunities and possibilities for achieving peace.
The statement also saluted the steadfastness of the Palestinian people.
