Doha, Qatar: Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has successfully concluded its “Your Bridge to the Future” programme, which provided university students with practical, hands-on experience in the electricity and water sectors.
The initiative featured field visits to key Kahramaa facilities and projects, alongside workshops and specialised training sessions. It culminated in a closing ceremony where participants received certificates of appreciation in recognition of their active engagement.
In posts on its social media accounts, Kahramaa said the programme aims to empower the next generation of professionals by bridging academic knowledge with real-world applications in critical national infrastructure. “At the conclusion of the ‘Your Bridge to the Future’ program, Kahramaa provided university students with hands-on experience through field visits to key electricity and water sector facilities. The program included workshops, training sessions, and concluded with awarding participation certificates,” the corporation noted.
Images from the closing event show students and Kahramaa officials gathered in a formal setting, with participants holding certificates and attending presentations. One session focused on “Week 4 Maintenance Uni,” highlighting operational aspects of the sector, with dates spanning late June to early July 2026.
The programme forms part of Kahramaa’s broader commitment to developing national talent and supporting Qatar’s sustainable development goals. By offering direct exposure to electricity generation, water production, distribution networks and maintenance operations, the corporation seeks to inspire students to pursue careers that contribute to the nation’s energy security and water sustainability.
