QFC launches 3rd Annual Football Tournament

The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Authority, one of the world’s leading and fastest growing business and financial centres, launched its 3rd Annual QFC Football Tournament at Qatar Sport Club, yesterday.
First held in 2014, the QFC Authority Football Tournament was met with resounding success for bringing the QFC Authority and QFC-licenced firms together to strengthen business bonds and networking opportunities outside the office environment.
This year’s tournament brings together over 100 players divided into 10 different teams and firms, who will compete for eight weeks culminating with the final match for the QFC Cup.
Commenting on the launch, QFC Authority Chief Commercial Officer Raed Al-Emadi, said: “This tournament, which is quickly becoming a QFC tradition, provides us with a chance to come together and enjoy a healthy and constructive environment away from the daily stress of work. It is an opportunity to network and to strengthen the bonds of business and friendship between us.”
The QFC Authority Football Tournament comes as part of the QFC’s efforts to engage its staff and firms and create a unified QFC community. The tournament which kicked off this week will last for 5 weeks.
