Doha: Due to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in Qatar, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) is stopping physical attendance at outpatient clinics in all HMC hospitals from Wednesday February 10. HMC through its social media handles has urged patients not to come into hospital for appointments.
“HMC will instead be using telephone consultations between the physician and patient,” they said.
“Patients are asked not to come into hospital for appointment. The physician will telephone the patient on the day of the appointment,” it added.
According to HMC, the doctor will arrange a face-to-face appointment if needed and patient will be informed by the clinic.
This measure is taken for the protection and safety of patients.
