Doha: Weather charts indicate that the country will be affected by fresh to strong northwesterly wind starting from Wednesday, October 10, noon.
Wind speeds are expected to increase over the weekend, from Thursday October 12, till Saturday evening, October 14. It is expected range between 12 to 22 kt reaching 30 kt at times in some areas and offshore, this will lead to high waves (7-10 Ft) and visibility may drop below 2km due to blowing dust.
In addition, a relative drop in temperatures is expected with mild temperatures during daytime (early to mid thirties) and pleasant weather conditions at night reaching mid-twenties °C in most areas of the country.
Qatar Meteorology Department urged everyone to be cautious and to avoid going to sea during this period.
