As part of the gradual lifting of COVID-19 restrictions, exceptional entry permit will not be required for residents and visitors with work visa from July 12, a senior official has said.

“If the residents meet the conditions for entering the country, that is, they have valid residence permit and their stay out of Qatar is less than six months, they can enter without an exceptional permit,” said Major Abdullah Al Jasmi, Head of the Administrative Affairs Section at the Airport Passports Department.

Speaking to Qatar TV, he said that If the residents have stayed out of Qatar for more than six months or their residence permit has expired due to some circumstances, they can follow the previous procedures by applying through Hukoomi (Qatar e- government) website or Metrash 2 and pay the fees and can return back to the country.
