Doha, Qatar: The unified tourist visa for Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) will be launched soon, the GCC Secretary General Jasem Albudaiwi has announced.

Saudi Gazette quoted Albudaiwi as saying at the 'Security and History Dialogue 2026' conference in Riyadh that the visa "will represent an important step towards strengthening Gulf integration and facilitate movement of visitors among GCC countries."

He added that the Schengen-style visa, dubbed the 'GCC Grand Tours' visa, will enable easier travel among the six Gulf countries, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Oman, and Kuwait.

Details regarding the launch date, fees, validity and eligibility criteria have yet to be announced.
