Doha: The Quarantine Cell is making major efforts that are no less important than the rest of the frontline sectors to confront the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Hamad Medical Corporation said in a tweet on its official handle.
The Cell is headed by the Director of the Central Operations Department, Colonel Hassan Muhammad Al Kuwari.
The Cell works 24 hours to coordinate and organise the quarantine process for travellers coming to Qatar, issue temporary travel permits, and respond to queries. The Cell also disseminates information about quarantines and complaints via 44579999, HMC said in another tweet.
The Cell includes the Ministry of Public Health; the Hamad Medical Corporation; the Ministry of Interior; the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; the Ministry of Commerce and Industry; the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs; Qatar Tourism; the Ministry of Transportation and Communications; Qatar Airways; and Discover Qatar.
