Ankara: Turkiye's Ministry of Defense announced Tuesday that the wreckage of a military cargo plane that crashed near the Georgian-Azerbaijani border has been located.
In a statement, the ministry said the cause of the crash will be determined through an investigation led by a specialized team.
The statement added that Georgian search and rescue teams reached the crash site and secured the wreckage for examination by Turkish investigators.
The ministry confirmed that 20 people were on board the aircraft, including its crew.
Earlier, Turkish authorities reported that a C-130 military transport plane had gone down while returning from Azerbaijan to Turkiye.
