Doha: Qatar Scientific Club of the Ministry of Culture and Sports announced its activities during the holy month of Ramadan, which focus on scientific and cultural competitions, specialized workshops and interactive experiences through virtual platforms.
The club will present an interactive scientific program on a weekly basis every Wednesday, in which the most important experiences of Muslim scholars, their achievements and their impact on the progress of mankind will be highlighted. Through the program, personalities of Muslim scholars and examples of their experiences will be presented in a simple, interesting scientific way, and these achievements will be explained in an interactive manner.
On the other hand, the Mawahib Program will continue during the holy month, It is a weekly program that sheds light on the talented (for the age group less than 25 years) in cooperation with the Gifted Students Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, and aims to provide a stimulating environment for talented and distinguished students, as the talented people with special skills, who possess a sense of innovation, and have the ability to bring about positive change in a way that benefits them and the community will be hosted.
Specialized scientific and technological workshops in the field of robotics, artificial intelligence and electronic engineering will also be offered.
For the purpose of research and knowledge about aspects of miracles in the Holly Qur'an and the role of Muslim scholars in scientific and cultural progress, in addition to scientific information in the fields of science and technology, a daily Ramadan competition will be launched and the participants are required to answer the question on the same day, after which the winners will be announced on a weekly basis.
Regarding Ramadan activities, Managing Director of Qatar Scientific Club Fatima Al Mohannadi stated that the club focuses in the Ramadan activity on social distancing and not leaving the house except for necessity due to the precautionary measures enforced, therefore, programs that encourage remote participation were launched and available to the largest possible segment, pointing out the continuity of the club's regular activities and programs, such as implementing and developing technological projects, judging the Researcher 4 competition and providing technical and technological support services to members through the available means of communication.
